Access Statement

Introduction
We aim to provide the areas best accommodation and dining facilities with our 15 room hotel and restaurant.the following statement is a summary of our provision.If you have any queries please call or email us and we be happy to assist.

Pre-Arrival
•The Train Station is located approx 15 minutes away by car
•There are several taxi services in the area, we will be happy to pre book one for you on request
•All hotel information including menus etc is available online at www.thealexandracourt.co.uk
•We are contactable by phone, web, email or fax

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
•On arrival to the hotel there is one main entrance which is not gated and accessible 24 hours a day
•There are 2 car park areas, one at the front of the building on the right hand side and the other is at the rear of the bulding at the end of the lane to the left of the building.
•The surface is flat with a slight hill towards the rear,there is a disabled drop off point just past the conservatory at the left side of the building which leads to the garden entrance
•We can assist with luggage if required
•The town is a 10 minute walk from the hotel

Main Entrance & Reception
•The main door had a large step at the foot of it,the garden entrance at the rear is completely flat for wheelchair access.
•The front door is locked at 23.00 and re opened at 07.00 (09.00 at weekends), during these hours guests have access via the garden entrance and their key card.
•Both doors are wheelchair accessible and are wide enough for easy passing.
•The main front door has a cast iron grab rail on the right hand side for assistance.
•On entry via the main door, reception is located within 2 foot of the door.
•There is limited seating in the lobby area and hallway.
•The floor is tiled aswell as carpeted in parts.

Public Areas - General (Internal)
•All corridors are well lit and free from hazards.
•Some have small tables in the walkways but not hazardous.
•All hallways are carpeted in full including stairwells.
•There are only 2 floors in the hotel, ground and first.
•There are several ground floor rooms, one with a disabled shower room.
•All dining areas are on the ground floor and on flat levels.

Public Areas - WC
•All rooms are ensuite and there are ladies,gents and disabled in the reception area.
Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Lounges, Take Away & Cafe
•Breakfast is served in the breakfast room located on the ground floor.
•Furniture can be moved as required.
•The chairs have no arms and are padded leather high backed chairs.
•There is music piped throughout the ground floor at all times of day.
•We have 3 seperate breakfast,lunch and dinner areas on site, each are spacious and well lit with good access on one flat level.
